Taylor Pettit
I am a lifelong Ozark Mountain rancher who is actively involved in local politics and bring a deep understanding of area schools and local governments. I own the local newspaper in Van Buren, which brings me into contact with nearly everyone in Carter and Shannon counties at some point.
As a former Missouri Department of Conservation research assistant, I bring local expertise on species-specific habitats and populations, whether that be deer, turkey, or just chipmunks. As an Army veteran, I understand both the needs of veterans and the programs available to support them.
As a lifelong resident, I have developed bonds and friendships that make me a valuable negotiator in local land acquisition. Since an early age, I have spent most of my free time hunting and fishing and have extensive knowledge of local lakes and rivers, especially the Current River and the valleys and hollows surrounding it.
I live on the Pettit Ranch near Van Buren with my wife, Jacqueline, and our four children.
